Elisia Tipton

Elisia Shofstahl Tipton is a partner at Talley Anthony. With a primary focus on health care litigation, Elisia’s practice involves a broad range of matters that arise in the representation of healthcare providers including medical malpractice, formation and dissolution of medical partnerships, employment agreements, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and peer review.   She has extensive trial and appellate experience and is recognized by her peers as an AV rated attorney, exemplifying excellence for her legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards.  Elisia is a member of the Health Law Section of the LSBA, Louisiana Hospital Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute.  

Elisia graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law and earned an LL.M. in Health Law and Policy from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in New York.  At Loyola, she was awarded the Edna S. Burkhalter Scholarship Award for Outstanding Oral Ability, was a member of the Moot Court Board, and was a member of the National Moot Court Team.  Elisia is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas. 

Elisia is proud to be the wife of Jason, a disabled veteran who served in both the United States Navy and Army.  Together they are controlled by three beautiful four-legged children:  Jason’s service dog, Schatzi, and two rescues Penny and Bugsy.  Any remaining free time is spent supporting animal rescues across the state.
